THE BEST of Worcester's amateur art talent has been on display at the Guildhall.
Outside the historic High Street building, paintings by the Worcester Society of Artists were hung on the railings and, inside, local arts groups gave short performances.
Groups performing on Saturday included the Swan Theatre Company, Dance Fest, Somers Traditional Folk Club, Worcester Gilbert and Sullivan Society, Worcester Festival Choral Society and Worcester Concert Brass.
The event, Arts Saturday, is organised annually by Worcester Arts Council to promote the arts in the city.
As well as performances, organisations manned stands to recruit new members.
"There were about 10 organisations performing everything from folk music to breakdancing," said Steve Quick, arts officer for Worcester City Council.
"It was the best in amateur companies throughout the area.
"It went very well indeed and we had the best response for a long while."
