MERMAIDS abound at a Worcester school which is performing the story of Jonah and the whale for its annual summer production.
All 85 girls at St Mary's Convent Junior School are in the production, entitled Jonah Man Jazz.
It was written and choreographed by teacher Margaret Wall.
"It's brilliant - really good," said Martin Wall, who plays piano for the production.
"There's lots of singing and dancing with some big musical numbers with everyone in them. Plus there's lots of laughs."
The seven to 11-year-olds are digging deep for the production, having already performed the show twice, with a further two performances scheduled for tonight and tomorrow evening.
At one point, when Jonah is in the whale's tummy, a host of mermaids appear, dancing and singing.
