A MAN had his nose savaged by a dog in front of startled customers in a Worcester pub.
The animal, a Labrador cross, leapt at the punter at around 10pm on Monday night in the Wheatsheaf pub, in Henwick Road, St John's.
"We could hear growling and what sounded like a dog fight," said a witness, who asked not to be named.
"Then this man turned round and there was flesh hanging down at the side of his nose. It was horrible.
"The man looked in a state of shock. I just don't think he could believe what had happened. It all took place very quickly."
Despite his injuries, an ambulance was not called, but the man, who is in his 20s, was thought to have been taken by car to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital for treatment, where he remains.
The pub declined to comment on the incident.
