POLICE have launched a further appeal for information after a beer bottle was hurled through the window of a Redditch taxi, injuring the driver.
The incident happened on Friday, May 17, between 11.30-11.40pm on Rough Hill Drive, Crabbs Cross.
The 21-year-old driver lost control of the car after being hit in the face and his passenger was forced to grab the steering wheel to prevent a crash.
The red Vauxhall Cavalier was being driven towards Oakenshaw island when the beer bottle was thrown.
Broken glass embedded in the driver's face and neck and ambulance crews took him to the Alexandra Hospital, where he was treated and discharged.
A police spokesman said: "We are re-appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to call us on 584888."
