BROMSGROVE rally driver Nathan Crewe has endured rotten luck of late in the raceandrally.com 1400 Championship.
Crewe and co-driver Chris Clifford were forced to miss the last round altogether due to engine failure and were looking just to finish round six in Mansfield last weekend.
With a lack of mileage in the car, the Cottrill Transport Team were still uneasy with its performance and it picked up pace on the fast stages in Sherwood Forest.
But things did not go quite to plan when Crewe's MG ZR was pushed back from second to fourth after catching Rupert Hopcraft's Micra.
Despite this, the Bromsgrove pair were delighted with the MG ZR, which ran faultlessly throughout the day.
Next up for the team is the Quinton Rally in Wales on Saturday, July 27.
