JETSKIIER Andy Rich lost ground in his bid to lift the British Summer Series and complete an impressive double.
The Greenlands youngster saw title rival Ray Purkiss storm to two wins in the latest round at Rother Valley Country Park, near Sheffield.
Rich suffered a poor start in the first moto before battling back to finish fourth.
The Winter Champion was gambling on the fact Purkiss' powerful but unreliable ski would not last both events but he was disappointed and did well to hang on and finish second behind Purkiss in the second moto to claim third overall.
The result extended Purkiss' lead over Rich on the leaderboard but Andy's father Mike said his son would be going for it on Loch Ness in round four on Saturday, July 6.
