After three successive defeats, Alcester visited Greet in the Heart of England League.
Alcester got off to a dream start with John Alderson winning 21-2, Jean Bannister (21-16) also won leaving the visitors 13 shots ahead at the halfway mark.
Next card off was Captain Chris Hollins with 21-11 and Greet did not
have a reply with further Alcester wins for Dave Hovell (21-13) and Bob
LeResche (21-20) giving the Meeting Lane outfit a winning margin by 30 shots
and a welcome return to winning ways.
In the return match at Alcester, the agony was piled on further as Alcester registered six winners. Chris Hollins gave a captain's performance with best card of 21-8 whilst Dave Hovell and Peter Barber, (21-9) and John Alderson (21-10) triumphed.
In the over 60s, Alcester had a home and away fixture with Kings Norton.
Having lost away by a mere five shots, Alcester showed no mercy a week later with a crushing 72 shot victory.
All six cards produced easy winners, with Peter McDermott leading the way with a stunning 21-2 win.
Other single figure winners were Garrick Williams (21-7) and Ken Harvey (21-9). Keith Bryan and Gordon Lycett (both 21-11) and David Whittington (21-14) completed the rout.
In the Northfield League, Alcester returned to winning ways with a 7-3 victory over Central Edgbaston.
Renny Bannister turned in the best card for Alcester with 21-6, Peter Barber (21-10) and Chris Hollins and John Alderson (21-12) did the business as Alcester progressed to a 31 shot victory.
In the return Alcester put up a better away performance, although losing the match overall by 23 shots they picked up three points through Terry Rawlings (21-13), Jean Bannister, (21-19) and Ken Harvey (21-20).
