CONCERNS have been raised that a piece of land central to any future proposals for a Studley bypass may be sold off.
Studley MP John Maples is now lobbying for the land, which forms part of the Winyates Green Triangle, to be offered first to Stratford Council or Warwickshire County Council.
The Triangle, between Far Moor Lane and the A435 Alcester Road, is currently owned by government body English Partnerships and falls within the Stratford district.
Part of the land had previously been designated to form part of a route for any potential A435 improvements.
Mr Maples has also opposed plans which could see responsibility for the A435 handed to Warwickshire County Council which could thwart bypass plans indefinitely.
A public inquiry regarding the road's status is being conducted at the moment.
Previous English Partnerships plans to develop the Winyates Green Triangle for housing were thwarted when Stratford Council removed the land from its Local Plan and Redditch Council refused access to it.
