UNWANTED and unsightly cars in Wythall, Alvechurch and Beoley are being collected for free as part of Operation Fire-Safe.
Bromsgrove Council has followed Redditch's lead by joining forces with police and fire services to rid the district of dumped cars which cost taxpayers £20,000 last year. The free collection will run until July 5.
Anyone with an unwanted vehicle can call 881357, ownership of the vehicle must be proved and only one per household will be collected.
