A HARD-hitting, powerful film which is full of shocks and nail-biting scenes from the off.
Sylvester Stallone is in fine form as cool and collected cop and people's champion Jake Malloy.
Everything in Malloy's life seems to be coming up roses until one fateful day when he returns home to his beautiful apartment and beautiful wife to make a horrifying discovery - one which causes Malloy's life to come crashing down around his ears and it's obvious nothing in his world will ever be the same.
After going slightly doolally, he checks himself into a rehabilitation clinic for other semi-loopey officers to try and get back on the right track.
Stripped of their badges and any forms of weaponry, the defenceless cops find themselves being slaughtered one by one by a mystery assailant.
Add to this the fact the clinic has been cut off from the outside world by a torrential snowstorm, this is the thriller genre at its best.
This film is well written with a superb plot and strong performances from all involved, D-TOX promises to have even the most laid back viewers on the edges of their sofas.
The DVD also features deleted scenes and trailers.
