PLANS for an ambitious scheme to upgrade a children's holiday farm in a village near Bromsgrove went on show last week when it staged an open day.
As revealed in this newspaper last week, Dodford Children's Holiday Farm, in Warbage Lane, which this year clocks up its fiftieth anniversary, has been successful in obtaining a £139,661 Lottery grant to carry out improvements.
Last Thursday's open day attracted a large number of visitors and close on £1,000 was raised from various activities which will boost farm funds.
The farm was purchased in 1950 and converted into a holiday home for disadvantaged youngsters from inner city areas of Birmingham.
