LOUD and proud staff at a town supermarket supported a colourful fundraising event to collect cash for the blind.
ASDA, in Market Street, backed a Really Loud Day on June 14 and employees paid £1 to dress in the brightest clothes their wardrobe could offer.
The Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) initiative saw staff don clashing colours and hold a bucket collection in the supermarket entrance.
Nearly £300 was collected to the delight of ASDA employee Sandra Smith.
"We are lucky we can appreciate bright colours unlike blind people," said Sandra.
"It was a really fun way to raise funds for such a worthy cause and everyone was keen to enter into the spirit."
