WOODLAND walks in Rubery are planned to allow residents to see protected countryside during the summer. The Worcestershire Wildlife Trust's south Birmingham branch will host a gentle stroll around Broadmoor Wood, on Sunday July 14. The reserve boasts an alder bog, a pool used by local schools for environment studies and a Hazel Coppice. Interested folk can meet the group at Rubery Leisure Centre, in Holywell Lane, at 2pm. The walk is expected to take around two hours and participants are advised to wear stout footwear.
