HARRY Taylor First School has been awarded Neighbourhood Group cash to complete a project which includes improving security.
The Evesham Road school was granted £1,500 at a previous Crabbs Cross, Hunt End and Walkwood Neighbourhood Group meeting for play equipment and security lighting. Oakenshaw Group also gave £250 towards the project.
But the original plan to install the fixed play equipment was scrapped due to health and safety regulations over flooring.
School governor Isobel Slater said at the latest Crabbs Cross Group meeting a bid had been submitted for security lighting with work due to start this week.
Residents agreed to meet the shortfall from the group budget.
