CHRISTIAN Booker is the fastest 11-year-old over 800 metres in the country.
In the space of 72 hours, the Barnt Green resident smashed the UK record for his age group twice - shaving FOUR seconds off the time.
On Sunday, June 16, Christian, of Bittell Farm Road, set a new record of 2mins 15.4secs for the distance while competing for Halesowen Harriers in Tamworth.
But, while Halesowen officials were busy getting his achievement officially recognised, Christian decided to go one better and beat his own record.
This time, on Wednesday, June 19, he covered the distance in just 2mins 11.5secs representing Aston Fields Middle School, in Drummond Road, at the county championships.
His mother Tracey was amazed at her son's achievement.
She said: "I can't believe and I don't think he can really believe it himself.
"The school actually rang me and told me that he'd done it in the county championships.
"He's really excited. His aim is to run as a pro."
Christian's feat is made all the more remarkable given that has only been running for Halesowen Harriers for 12 months.
Club officials were so impressed with him while watching him run for the school, they invited him to join their club.
He now runs at U15 level, regularly competing with runners four years older than himself.
Mrs Booker added: "He's always run for the school and he plays football and rugby and in the winter he does cross country.
Christian plays football for Meadow Park U11s.
