A COUNTY club has put out a heartfelt thank-you to Spa townsfolk after it presented a cheque, for nearly £700, to a national charity.
The money, £675, was raised by Worcestershire Woodturners and given to the charity Different Strokes, at an informal presentation held last Monday, June 17.
The bulk of the cash was raised from the club's annual exhibition at Droitwich Heritage Centre, in St Richard's House, Victoria Square, where members of the public have the opportunity to buy hand-crafted gifts made by the woodturners.
Different Strokes, which helps younger stoke sufferers, was the club's adopted charity for the year and its director, Donal O'Kelly, came to the Spa to receive the cheque, handed to him by Worcestershire Woodturners chairman Harold Haywood.
Mr Haywood said: "I would like to thank everyone that helped us to raise so much money for such a good cause - we couldn't have done it without their support."
