COOKHILL will be in for extra fielding practice this week after dropping seven catches in an untimely losing draw to leaders Cleobury at the weekend.
Paul William's side were battling for the second promotion spot in a very tight league but did themselves no favours in the absence of their skipper.
Rob Williams, 4-36, and Mark Franklin, 3-57, did the damage for the villagers but the catches proved costly as Cleobury reached 192-8 and the Nevill Arms side could not do the business with the bat despite a 50 from Greg Prior, but held on for seven points.
And the damage was limited with second placed Vine suffering a shock eight wicket defeat to lowly Kidderminster in the tightest of leagues.
Third placed Alvechurch suffered a losing draw to fourth placed Fladbury to leave five of the league's ten sides within ten points of each other as they chase the top two.
The villagers will be strengthened by the return of their skipper for the trip to Hopwood to face Alvechurch on Saturday (2pm start).
Bat Billy Harris and all rounder Martin Welham are also set to return.
