A BROMSGROVE man has shown he has a talent for the written word after having a book of poems published.
Andy Skitt, of South Road, Aston Fields, has just had a selection of his work published in a collection called Untepid Days.
The book features works on a variety of subjects from the comical to dark.
It is the second collection Mr Skitt, a primary school teacher in Cradley Heath, has had published in ten years.
He said: "Mainly the sort of poems I write are bits of stories so it's almost as though I'm a lazy novelist."
But some of 40-year-old Mr Skitt's poems are inspired by spur of the moment thoughts.
"My wife and I were driving through the Wyre Forest and I said to her I wonder if anyone has ever buried someone in those woods."
On Tuesday, July 2, Mr Skitt is reading poetry at the mac, in Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham, from 7.30pm.
His book is currently available in Ottakers, in High Street, priced £3.
