I AM writing to you to tell you and everyone who reads the Journal about the lack of things for kids to do. Cheltenham has a skate park. We have nothing, especially where I live in Badsey.
I am 13 years old and I love football. My friends and I play football wherever and whenever we can. We have stopped playing football in the streets because of neighbours complaining about their flowers getting hit, which is fair enough. We cannot play at Badsey Village Hall because there is dog mess everywhere and the grass is too long most of the time, Kelvin Hughes, our local councillor promised us that the council would put up 'No Fouling' signs by the end of the month. This was two years ago. Now we are left playing on a little bit of grass next to a busy main road. I have had one ball popped by a lorry already and one day there will be an accident.
All we want is a few signs saying "No Fouling", the grass cut regularly and a goal post at our village hall. Hopefully the council can do this for us before there is an accident. I want to draw the council's attention to the matter.
OLLIE SPRAGG, Windyridge, Horsebridge Avenue, Badsey.
