A DRIVER was airlifted to hospital after being cut out of his car following a head-on collision on the Bewdley to Stourport "Switchback" road.
The accident, involving a Subaru Impreza and a Rover 400, happened at about 5pm on Friday.
The Rover driver managed to get out of his car and was taken to hospital by ambulance but firefighters spent an hour freeing the man in the Subaru on the B4194 Ribbesford Road.
He was anaesthetised while being cut out of the car and eventually airlifted to hospital in Worcester with suspected broken legs.
