FORTY teams enjoyed last Sunday's second annual Female Football Festival at Pershore High School.
Playing six-a-side, teams competed in Under-10, 12, 14, 16 and open age categories.
The youngest age range produced an excellent competition with Red-ditch defeating Broadway United after a goalless draw and subsequent penalty shoot-out.
The losers had been on the right end of a sudden-death win earlier when overcoming Pershore Town.
Pershore High School reached the last four of the Under-14 event, while the open age category saw Evesham United, pictured above by Stuart Purfield, gain seven points in their group before bowing out.
