I WISH to thank people for their support for Wyre Forest Deaf Children's Society on our Kidderminster flag day which raised £160.90.
The Wyre Forest branch is a voluntary group which meets regularly to discuss ways of benefiting families locally.
The society acts as a focal point to all local children and their families who face the disadvantages of deafness or hearing impairment.
We exchange information on services and also assist families with the expense of special equipment and other educational items.
Our most recent purchase of an amplifying system for a classroom was placed at Blakebrook School in Kidderminster.
Currently we are arranging the installation of a system at another Kidderminster school and purchasing toddlers' toys to help create conversation and interest to hearing impaired children in the Wyre Forest area.
