FORMER finalists, Apperley, were Dumbleton's latest victims in this season's National Village Championship.
Slow left-armer, Eddie Robin-son, was the man to mesmerise the hosts in Sunday's Gloucester-shire group final and book a home clash in the last 32 with Oxfordshire side, Shipton-under-Wychwood.
Robinson grabbed 5-18 from nine immaculate overs as App-erley, who lost out at Lord's in 1998, were dismissed for 104.
Dumbleton had earlier amassed a daunting 241-8 from their 40 overs with Graeme Piesse (77) and Rob Churchman (33) the chief contributors.
The Gloucestershire side will be hoping to go one better than 12 months ago when they lost out to Oxford Downs at the same stage but the 1997 losers will prove a tough obstacle on Sunday, July 7.
Victory for Dumbleton will guarantee home advantage all the way until the semi-finals on August 18 with the final set for Lord's on Sunday, September 1.
Robinson was in fine form in Saturday's Stroud and Swindon West of England League Premier Two clash against Downend.
The spinner took 4-18 from 15 overs, while Piesse (67) was again in good nick with the bat in a total of 205-7.
Mike Gibson scored 49 in a total of 205-7 that helped lift Dumb-leton off the foot of the table after bowling out Downend for 143.
