A SEVENTH wicket stand of 97 between Paul Martin (94) and John Martin doubled Fladbury's score as they set Alvechurch and Hopwood a target that proved beyond them.
The Worcestershire County League Division Six hosts had lost their first six wickets three runs sort of three figures but the Martins joined forces to set the visitors a daunting 223 for victory.
Alvechurch were never really in the hunt after taking 20 overs to reach 50 until 44 came off the next six to set up the prospect of an exciting finish.
However, the loss of two quick wickets ended their hopes and they limped along to 132 from 45 overs leaving Fladbury to settle for a winning draw.
Dave Phipps was back on song with the bat the next day, hitting 75 in a Fladbury total of 222-8 against Norton Lindsey. King was the pick of the bowlers with 4-27.
The chasers never threatened and were always behind the required rate as Fladbury completed a successful weekend with Norton's reply ending at 140-7.
