PARENTS of children suffering from a much-misunderstood condition have been urged to attend a support group.
Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder are wrongly labelled as naughty, a county group said.
Parents from Wyre Forest, who have children with the condition or feel they may have a borderline case, are being urged to come along for advice and support.
Caroline Causier, secretary of the Worcestershire support group, said: "We are all parents of children with the condition so, not only can we offer support, but from our experiences we can give advice.
"Even though the children can be treated with the drug ritalin, they often miss learning at an early age and there are other associated learning problems such as dyslexia and asperger syndrome, a mild form of autism."
The next meeting is at Perdiswell Young People's Leisure Club, Droitwich Road, Worcester, on Tuesday, July 9 at 7.30pm.
There will be a guest speaker from the Learning and Behavioural Support Services. For details call Caroline Causier on 01905 455191.
