NICK Leach has been elected captain of Stratford Rugby Club for the 2002/2003 season.
Since moving home to Stratford in 1991, Nick has played for the club at every level from under-12 through to the senior sides.
Having won promotion to Midlands Two West in 2001, Stratford finished in third place in the league last season and were runners-up in the Warwickshire Cup.
The re-formed Colts side were also runners-up in the County Colts Cup and the Development XV topped 1,000 points in the season.
"If we are to keep up this high standard, we must maintain our fitness and skills levels - and continue the commitment from all players and members" emphasised Nick.
"Pre-season training starts next week, led by new Director of Coaching Rob Trezise, and I look forward to seeing as many players as possible at the club."
Training starts Tuesday from 7.30pm at the club, Pearcecroft - and then each Tuesday and Thursday evening.
There will be a working party on Saturday from 10am at the club. All players, members and parents welcome.
