IN response to your unpatriotic readers from last week. It is not often that a small country like ours can unite in celebration in recent times, therefore as a local resident I was gladdened to see how the community came together, following victory over Argentina.
These celebrations were peaceful, good natured and reflected the general optimism of the nation at the time. Sadly it seems that our good times are marred by those people who believe that all football fans are hooligans. These are the same people who believe we shouldn't open the immigration camp in Throckmorton. These stick-in-the-muds are more worried about what the camp will do to their house prices than the suffering of real people. Evesham for the people not against the people.
