IN reply to the letter 'Not the right way to celebrate', I thought it was good to see the England fans celebrating England's win over Argentina and enjoying themselves. Talking to many people who drove under the Union Jack and tooted their horns, they all enjoyed it and took it as a bit of fun as it was meant to be.
The World Cup takes place once every four years and it has been well published that England fans have been well behaved throughout, yet through the lack of trouble minor things have been blown out of proportion.
I was sorry to hear the disappointment of some people as I'm sure all the fans outside the Swan pub in Port Street would have hoped their actions were taken in good nature. Maybe having fun is not such a bad thing after all!
