MALVERN Girls' College pupil Cressida Nnyanzi, aged 15, represented Worcestershire in the County Athletic Championships held at the Alexandra Stadium in Birmingham.
She competed in the 80m hurdles in the Under 17 age group and ran a personal best time to finish 9th overall. There were over 80 schools represented from the six counties.
Cressida is captain of the Intermediate Track and Field Cup team who finished in 4th place at the Midlands B finals.
She is a sports scholar at Malvern Girls' College and excels in many sports, including lacrosse, hockey, netball, swimming, ballet and is also an accomplished gymnast.
Sarah Gilderson, PE teacher at the College, said: "Cressida is a very talented natural athlete who has worked hard to transfer from 75m to 80m hurdles and achieved this success against strong competition from older competitors in her category."
