OLYMPIC gold medallist Kriss Akabusi is getting local people from business and communities motivated to raise money for children in Nigeria.

Mr Akabusi, now a motivational speaker through the Akabusi Company's Fit4Business workshop seminars, was a guest presenter at Worcester Breakfast Club, on Blackhorse Walk.

About 300 members of the local business community were expected to attend the presentation, held this morning.

More people are expected to listen to Mr Akabusi's second speech of the day at the Breakfast Club's Charity Auction and Dinner, at Worcester Rugby Club tonight.

Mr Akabusi will be motivating his audiences with tales about his Olympic successes.

"I am delighted to be back in the Worcester area and involved in these opportunities with the Worcester Breakfast Club," Mr Akabusi said.

"My aim is to motivate both our business and personal lives and to have a good laugh, while telling my audiences about my Olympic successes."

Proceeds from both events will be donated to the Akabusi Nigeria charity which is working to develop a hospital for children in Nigeria.

"In doing this we can raise funds for Nigerian children who greatly need our help and who are not as lucky as we are," Mr Akabusi said.

"AkabusiNigeria will be extremely grateful."
