YOUTHS who caused £10,000-worth of damage to Droitwich's Lido Park have designed posters to warn against the dangers of fire.
The three youths set fire to play equipment in the park on Friday, March 8 and were later arrested.
All three, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were found guilty by Worcester Youth Court and were given referral order contracts.
Part of the order required them to create posters warning about the dangers of fire.
Two posters were unveiled this weekend and will be displayed in Wychavon District Council shops in Droitwich, Evesham and Pershore.
"We refuse to let vandals get away with the anti-social behaviour," said Sharon Casswell, the council's client services manager.
"It costs the taxpayer money after all. We have decided to show these posters in the Droitwich One Stop Shop in a bid to deter youngsters from playing with fire.
"I hope it will also send the message that crime does not pay and the district council will not tolerate vandalism in any form.
"We also want the public to play its part and report any vandalism to the police immediately."
A week after the play equipment was replaced it was again damaged, this time to the tune of £500.
Wychavon District Council has offered a reward.
Worcester police believe youths were behind the attack in the Worcester Road park between 1.30pm and 1.45pm, on Thursday, June 6.
A member of the public spotted youths jumping up and down on equipment and contact Wychavon District Council who then contacted the police.
However no descriptions were given and police have asked anyone who might have seen anything or has any information to contact them on 01905 723888, quoting c/593074.
Alternatively, information can be given to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
