A VAN driver was seriously injured in a head-on collision on the A49 in Grafton.
The collision happened when the driver of the Peugeot van failed to stop at roadworks on the road from Hereford to Ross-on-Wye yesterday afternoon.
He collided with a blue Renault Laguna heading in the opposite direction, towards Ross-on-Wye.
The Peugeot driver was taken to Selly Oak Hospital by air ambulance. The driver and passenger of the Renault were taken to Hereford Hospital, and the passenger was released after treatment.
The road was closed for six hours. Anyone with information about the collision, which happened at 4.40pm, should call Hereford police on 01432 276422.

AN English Civil War re-enactment is being held at Brockhampton, near Bromyard, on Saturday, June 29, and Sunday, June 30.
The event is being held at the Brockhampton Estate, beside the A44, from 12pm to 5pm on Saturday, and 12pm to 4pm on Sunday.
