GUY Solven, the elder of the windsurfing Solven brothers, from Storridge, has been selected to represent Great Britain in the ISAF World Sailing Games in Marseilles from today (Friday) to July 11.
Twenty-year-old Guy will be sailing in the men's fleet and racing a Bic Techno Formula board. The competition is a very high profile one with other sailing classes, such as Lasers, 470s and Hobie Cats.
Meanwhile, Harry is preparing for the Formula Youth World Championships, this year held in Largs, Scotland in August. Last year Harry came 19th overall and 1st junior in Rome, so he hopes to improve upon that result.
Both boys have a full schedule of National events too, so there are hopes of a few medals.
The boys have been helped locally by Banana fitness, based at the Splash in Malvern who have very kindly given both boys full use of the gym equipment and a personal trainer to advise on exercise and diet.
Successful Malvern Link company English Braids have also donated £40 to the boys.
