THE Chairman of Upton's Tourism and Trade Association, Bill Dovey, has countered claims that the town should concentrate on attracting wealthy tourists.
Responding to comments made to Upton town council by Angela Lessimore, Malvern Hills District Council tourism manager, he said the town needed to attract all types of visitor.
"Everyone is welcome here," said Mr Dovey. "If we waited for the wealthy professionals, we would all go bust."
