MALVERN Rangers FC held its AGM last Wednesday evening at sponsors Willie Thorne's Snooker Club, who have agreed continued sponsorship for the forthcoming season.

An excess of income over expenditure of £326.68 was declared, this despite the additional costs incurred in their inaugural season in the West Midlands League.

A new chairman Mark Owen was appointed to complement the other members of the committee who remain: Brian Burge secretary/treasurer, Roger Kitchener manager, Phil Llewellyn assistant manager, other members Chris Davis and Steve Hodges. It is hoped that a new vice-chairman will be appointed within the next couple of weeks.

The league will again comprise 14 teams with Blackheath Town and Ledbury Town Reserves being accepted into the league, Sedgeley White Lions being promoted to the Premier Division and Brintons amalgamating with Wyre Forest.

The league season commences August 17 and pre-season training will start on Wednesday (July 3) at Lower Howsell, kick off 7pm and will continue on Sunday mornings at 10am.

Any new prospective players welcome.
