Malvern's Tim Wood, riding for Stourbridge CC, gained another top 10 place in a national time trial championship when he finished seventh in the National 50-mile event.
This came just a few weeks after Wood took an impressive fifth in the National 25-mile championship.
The title went to Michael Hutchinson (Team MDT) who trounced his nearest rivals to clock a fine 1-44-10 on the Swindon course.
Yorkshire's Kevin Dawson rode a 1-47-02 for second place with Leicester's Matt Botrill in third with 1-50-43.
Old hand Sean Yates, who was a big name on the professional racing scene riding at the top level in Europe for many years and with a Tour De France yellow jersey to his name, was fourth with 1-51-08.
Since his retirement four years ago, Yates has been a familiar face on the British time trialling circuit.
Wood is very pleased with his progress into the top ranks of British time trialling this year. The chief mechanic at Worcester Cycle Centre said: "Things seem to have really come together for me and people have been very supportive.
"I've taken lots of calls at the shop this week from those in the cycle trade congratulating me!"
