The Malvern-based English Symphony Orchestra (ESO) will be appearing in the latest concert in the 2002 Wyastone Summer Series next Friday (July 5).
The Wyastone Concert Hall, on the banks of the Wye between Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth, will echo to the sounds of Haydn's Cello Concerto in C and Tchaikovsky's Rococo Variations.
Raphael Wallfisch will be performing the pieces in place of a new work for cello and orchestra by John Metcalf, which was to have been premiered at the evening. It will now be performed at next year's Summer Series.
Music to be performed at the event includes Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusic and Beethoven's Symphony No 4 in B Flat.
Further information and tickets are available from the ESO box office on 01684 560696.
