JEAN Boht, who starred as Nellie Boswell in TV's Bread, is at Malvern Theatres in Just Between Ourselves from July 2 to 6.
Joining the busy Liverpudlian actress in Alan Ayckbourn's classically observed comedy is onetime Family Fortunes host and Brookside soapstar, Les Dennis.
In the Theatre Royal Bath production Dennis plays Dennis, a DIY fanatic incapable of fixing anything, least of all his disastrously fractured marriage.
Seeing the relentlessly jolly Dennis and ghastly mother (Boht) during four successive birthdays in the chaotic garage where he spends all his time tinkering shows how his wife is being driven round the bend.
Malvern Theatres spokesman Alison Goodwin said: "Just Between Ourselves combines classy performances with a richly humorous, wryly accurate glance at suburban, middle-class idiosyncrasies."
Tickets are £10-£18 from 01684 892277 or www.malvern-theatres.co.uk.
