HAND-crafted wooden toys and household items will be up for auction to raise money for Acorn's Children's Hospice.
Veteran fund-raisers Brian and Joan Hatfield have organised the auction and garden party, which will be held in their own home, at 7 Vimiera Close, Norton, near Worcester.
The items under the hammer include an oak TV and video cabinet, a rocking horse, a beechwood jewellery box, pictures framed in stained beech and a walnut cabinet.
They will be on display today - Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30 - at Worcester Garden Centre, Droitwich Road. People will be able to view them and make a sealed bid.
The wooden items will also be on display on Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7, at St Peter's Garden Centre, St Peter's.
"A lady at Acorn's said there was this man in Cheltenham, who makes things out of wood," said Mr Hatfield.
"A couple of days later he brought the things around and we were simply amazed at how lovely they were. He gave it all to us."
The auction itself will take place over two days on Friday, July 12, from 5pm, and Saturday, July 13, from 10am. There will also be a garden party with light refreshments on offer, as well as competitions and a bring-and-buy sale.
Entry is £1 for adults and 30p for children.
It is hoped the event will make more than £500 for the new Acorn's children's hospice, due to be built in Bath Road, Worcester.
Mr and Mrs Hatfield have already raised hundreds of pounds for various charities including a children's home and baby unit in the Philippines and a project to help street children in Peru.
