MANDEEP Singh crashed 29 runs off the final over but it was not enough for Kidderminster as they had to settle for a draw at Kenilworth Wardens in the Birmingham Cricket League Division One.

Kidderminster looked to have settled for the draw as the final over began until the overseas star cracked three sixes and two fours but the visitors still finished six runs short of the 244 victory target.

Sean Lloyd had earlier won the toss for the eighth time in 10 games and decided to put the home side in.

KCC, however, found it tough as Kenilworth and particularly Kotak took a liking to the attack with a century as the home team finished on 243-4. Ted Baylis impressed with a tight spell of 0-23 off seven while Andrew Siwicki claimed 1-19 off his six overs.

In reply, Mark Mansell and Steve Davies enjoyed the medium paced bowling and were 37-0 off just five overs.

Mansell then decided to pad up to a ball that would have been just as easy to hit and was given out lbw.

Skipper Lloyd joined the 16-year-old wicket-keeper at the crease and the runs continued to flow. Davies then put up a simple catch when he had reached 45 to give Kenilworth a valuable scalp (80-2).

Gurdeep Kandola joined the action but a misunderstanding between him and Lloyd resulted in KCC losing their skipper through a run-out.

Kandola was next to go for 30 before Richard Bradford hit an aggressive 29 to keep the scoreboard ticking over.

With 65 required from four overs, KCC looked happy with the draw. However, that was before Singh's last-over heroics which left the visitors with a number of what ifs going through their minds at stumps as they finished on 238-6. KCC took six points from the match.
