A WORCESTER man fled the scene of an accident after crashing into another car.

Graham Hossack drove off after pulling out of a Worcester pub car park into another car on Friday, April 26, Worcester Magistrates Court heard yesterday.

Abi Nixon, prosecuting, told the court a woman was in her car near the roundabout at the junction of Brickfields Road and Bilford Road, when Hossack's car collided with the side of hers.

"He then left without leaving his details, but his car registration number was taken by a witness," she said.

"He admitted being the driver in interview, and said he pulled out to get a view but misjudged it."

Hossack, of Randwick Drive, Warndon, admitted careless driving, failing to stop after an accident, failure to report an accident and driving without insurance.

Judith Kenney, defending, said the 22-year-old drove off as he was worried about the consequences.

"He panicked, and failed to stop and give his details as he should have done."

Magistrates fined Hossack a total of £395, ordered him to pay £35 costs and endorsed his licence with six penalty points.
