A CRASH victim managed to call for help on his mobile phone despite careering off the road and landing in bushes.
The accident happened off the Welland to Castlemorton road.
The injured man was able to call for an ambulance on his mobile phone.
"If he didn't have his mobile phone on him he might still be there now," said leading fire fighter Graeme Bishop from Worcester Fire Station.
The car had come off the road near Castlemorton village hall and was found about 10ft away from the road on its roof, shrouded by foliage.
Ambulances, two fire appliances and an emergency tender attended the scene shortly after 11pm yesterday.
"Paramedics put a neckbrace on him and wanted to bring him out on a spinal board so we cut away some more bushes," said Mr Bishop.
The man was taken by ambulance to Gloucester Royal Hospital and fire crews left the scene shortly after midnight.
