A DAY at the races is just one of the latest additions to an auction of promises being held later this week at Worcester's Huntingdon Hall.
The day, at Cheltenham Racecourse, is one of 50 promises that will be up for auction at the hall on Thursday, July 4.
A flying lesson at Wellesbourne Aviation near Stratford, a scuba diving lesson, and a chance to sit in the TV audience of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and meet Chris Tarrant afterwards will also be up for grabs.
The Evening News has offered a promise for a budding reporter to work in the office for the day and a tour of BBC Hereford & Worcester radio station is also up for auction.
Staff are urging people to support the evening by bringing lots of friends and family to the event.
"We have up to 50 promises at the moment but we are hoping to get more than that on the night," said Esther Blaine, assistant director at Huntingdon Hall.
The auction will be held at the Art House caf bar at Huntingdon Hall at 8pm.
The proceeds will go towards buying a new sound system for the hall, extending its seating and paying for big-name bands - currently unaffordable.
