A COMPUTER engineer has denied a series of sex offences including the rape of a girl in 1974 when she was only 11.
Geoffrey Geary, aged 55, of Worcester Road, Kidderminster, denied indecent assault, indecency with a child, rape and buggery when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court yesterday.
His alleged victim, now 38, broke down in tears as she was giving evidence before a jury of seven women and five men.
The witness denied a suggestion by Bernard Thorogood, defending, that she had dramatised her evidence to make it as bad as possible for the accused.
He accused her of giving an untrue account but she said the only thing she could not remember was the exact dates. The trial continues.
