CAROL Walder was the star of the show as Bromsgrove and Redditch Athletic Club's ladies team secured victory in the second meeting of the Midland Veterans Track and Field League Southern Division.
At Brierley Hill's Dell Stadium, Walder won the over 50s long jump and over 45s 200m.
She also finished second in the over 35s 2km walk, second in the over 45s shot put and was a member of the winning relay team.
The ladies now lead their section with two meetings remaining but the men are in third following their fourth placing at the meeting.
Elsewhere, Julie Wakelam won the over 35s long jump and javelin and was runner-up in the shot put. Polly Gerner achieved a season best with 29.6secs in the 200m.
There was a clean sweep for Bromsgrove and Redditch athletes in the 3,000m races with wins for Kath Haley in the over 35s A, Liz Clifford (over 45s) and Jane Anderson (over 35s B).
Anderson also won the 800m with Judy Appleby winning the B race and Linda Crawley taking first in the over 50s race. Sheila Williams was second in the over 45s 2km walk.
For the men, Mike Mole finished third in the over 50s 2km walk, taking 42 seconds off his personal best time with 13mins 5secs.
Mole was also runner-up in the shot put and javelin and third in the discus. Russell Rawlins took a fine second place in the 3,000m A.
