BROMSGROVE Rovers have missed out on Mark Benbow (pictured, above) after the midfielder opted for a trial with Conference side Hereford United.
Gary Hackett and Jon Ford had been tracking the former Green in the hope of bringing him to the Victoria Ground for the forthcoming Dr Martens Western campaign.
But Benbow, who has just returned from a spell playing in Australia, has decided to join Graham Turner at Edgar Street.
Hackett still hopes to have more new faces in the squad for next season and will be looking at a couple of un-named possibilities when the players start pre-season training this Saturday.
The 2002/2003 Dr Martens Western fixtures are due to be published by the end of this week.
