A MAN whose wife fought for the right to die rather than continue living with a terminal illness is to send out thousands of petition cards to Redditch this week.
Brian Pretty, whose wife Diane died a couple of months ago, is sending out 10,000 cards in the town so residents will defend his campaign for a change in the law.
If the laws are changed, it would mean terminally ill adults like Mrs Pretty could choose medical help to die if that is what they wish.
Mrs Pretty launched the petition after the European Court of Human Rights turned down her appeal for medical assistance to end her own life.
