THE fate of run-down homes in Abbeydale will not be decided until all the residents have been spoken to.
Plans to demolish 30 bungalows in Dolphin Road were met with uproar from residents who wanted to see the homes repaired and not knocked down and replaced.
A decision was expected to be made last Wednesday but Redditch Council executive committee members chose to a delay a decision on the houses, which were built as temporary homes during the war.
The committee also agreed to carry out all outstanding urgent repairs on the homes.
Two weeks ago, the Advertiser revealed proposals to demolish the homes and redevelop the site but residents began a petition to keep them.
Residents met councillors to discuss the future of the homes and whether or not they should be repaired or the site redeveloped.
A decision is due to be made at the next executive committee meeting on July 19.
