THE football season may be the best part of two months away but Bromsgrove Rovers already know their opponents in the opening rounds of the FA Cup and FA Trophy.
Rovers' FA Cup trail begins with a trip to former Midland Alliance rivals Barwell in the Preliminary Round on Saturday, August 31. The sides drew 1-1 when they last met.
If successful, Gary Hackett and Jon Ford's side will host either Belper Town or Gresley Rovers in the First Qualifying Round on Saturday, September 14.
As for the FA Trophy, the Victoria Ground club entertain Banbury United on Saturday, October 5 with a possible home meeting with Atherstone United or Gloucester City in the First Round on Saturday, November 2 if they progress.
Although the games are a long way off, joint manager Hackett is confient Rovers can do well.
He said: "Barwell away could be tough and at the moment I don't know too much about Banbury.
"But they are both ties where we have got a very good chance of progressing."
