AN innovative, psychedelic trio will bring their own methods of madness to Birmingham's Alexandra Theatre this week.
The Flaming Lips are set to play their first UK gigs in more than two years when they hit our shores.
The band is set to follow its critically acclaimed album The Soft Bulletin with Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots, released on July 15.
The 11-track album has been described by vocalist and guitarist Wayne Coyne as 'alive and thriving, but disturbingly unnatural.'
The Flaming Lips started recording the new album in summer 2000, working with producer Dave Fridmann.
Titles include Ego Tripping At The Gates Of Hell, It's Summertime and All We Have Is Now.
The Flaming Lips, supported by Goldrush, will perform at the Birmingham venue tomorrow.
Doors open at 7pm and tickets cost £12.50 from the ticket hotline on 0870 607 7544.
